Knowledge sharing is an activity through which knowledge (i.e. information, skills, or expertise) is exchanged among people, community  or an organization. Knowledge sharing is a systematic process for creating, acquiring, synthesizing, learning, sharing and using knowledge and experience to achieve organizational goal. This knowledge can be inside the employees' minds or stored in paper form in filing cabinets and/or stored in electronic form. As a concept, knowledge sharing is very attractive and many business organizations would prefer to be associated with it. Organizations have recognized that knowledge constitutes a valuable intangible asset for creating and sustaining competitive advantages.

At CTK Soft, we believe to get most things done in an organization today requires a collaborative effort. If we try to work alone – we are likely to fail – we need not only the input from other people but their support and ideas. Being open with them; sharing with them, helps us achieve our objectives. All of our employees believe that by sharing knowledge, they gain more than lose. We believe that sharing knowledge is a synergistic process – we get more out than we put in. If we share a product idea or a way of doing things with another person – then just the act of putting our idea into words or writing will help us shape and improve that idea. If we get into dialogue with the other person then we benefit from their knowledge, from their unique insights and improve our ideas further.

Knowledge sharing is something all of us at CTK Soft believe in as we are aware that Knowledge is perishable & is increasingly short-lived. If we do not make use of our knowledge then it rapidly loses its value.

For us, Knowledge sharing is not just about sharing great ideas – it’s about improving the way that things get done by sharing the little things. Employees have lots of knowledge of little use to them and they share it with other employees who can make use of it and in return these employees will share relevant knowledge with others.

Fundamentally sharing is about being more open in our way of work and in our relationships with other people.
